This the first third of a book - beware

I hate books that just parse out a story without warning you in advance. This book has an incomplete narrative arc - it just stops. Good for writer economics, bad for reader satisfaction. So, it's hard to say the plot is good - because it is all just unfolding. I can say I am not in love with the characters. Layne is a jerk toward Shelby, and submissive, directionless girl that she is, lets him invade her personal boundaries - because she is attracted to him. But there is not much more to say about them because, just as things started to get interesting, the book stopped. Layne is also big on talk, short on strategy, when it comes to sorting out the club issues. He is the Donald Trump of the biker world. Not sure if I will read the next one or not. If it is KU, I probably will.

DAYYYUUUMMMMMMM

DANG!!! You'd think Layne will start out slow and easy.. dip his toes into the new Devil Call Chapter. I mean, okay I wasn't expecting red carpet treatment or anything,, but, certainly wasn't expecting a bullet lol much less everything else that happened.
You'd think after all the crap he went through, he'd be "gifted" with a bunch of guys that would automatically bow down to his leadership. I think it is just no in the stars for Layne to be given the easy road, and I think Layne prefers the rough ride anyway.
Shelby is a surprise for sure. A much better fit to Layne than Everly. And Layne does deserve a woman who is just meant for him, willing to do anything and everything just like Everly was to Talon.
The cliffhanger though.... I can't wait to read the next installment!

Thank you Ana Fawkes for yet another late night reading this ARC. You keep on writing, I will keep on reading!

Savage and Wild Ride!!!

Amazingly written...the title does this book justice. I could not put this story down. All the characters in this book leap off the pages and bring the raw, gritty life of an MC to the forefront. Layne is so Alpha he makes alphas look weak. There are so many mysteries, twist and turns in this book it will leave you spinning and this all occurs on the first day as the new President of Devils Call MC. Even Shelby has secrets that might just get her killed. Layne and Shelby's relationship is so scorching hot it will leave you breathless. Oh noooo it did not just end like that......what the....!! Bought it!!! Loved it!!! Already want the next!!!
